At PhotoSynthesis in Ames, Iowa, we don't take shortcuts, and we don't automate orders. Every file you submit for printing is individually checked for color and density. Plus, we use a thicker, premium archival photo paper that will retain color for 75 years, and will last for centuries!  We also offer other photo services:  restorations, enhancements, scanning, photos to DVD, slides to DVD, Super 8 and VHS to DVD, tape reels to DVD, photo books & other photo items, photo jewelry, & more!  We also offer an affordable line of photo birth announcements, photo adoption announcements, as well as photo announcements for weddings, save-the-dates, moving, graduation, etc!  And if we don't have a design for your event, we will create one! We create our designs, so they are exclusive to our customers.  Your photo announcement order can be printed on our premium photo paper, or a coverstock if you'd like a two-sided or folded announcement or card.

Visit us downtown Ames and you can get your passport photo taken --- it will be ready in 10 minutes! No appointment necessary. And we take passport photos for the US and international passports. Need an ID photo? Or a VISA photo? No problem, we do that too.
