Visit us in downtown Ames and you can get your passport photo taken — it will be ready in about 10 minutes! No appointment necessary. We take passport photos for US passports and international passports.  We can take your photo against the standard white background, or we can use an off-white, light blue or royal blue background if your country requires it.  Babies and children welcome! 

Need an ID photo? Or a VISA photo? Green card photo?  Headshot for a website?  No problem, we do that too!

In Ames, you can apply for your passport at the Ames post office on Kellogg Ave in downtown Ames.  If you only need to renew your passport, you may be eligible to renew online and mail in your renewal request. For both new passports and renewal passports, you must submit two photographs with your application.  PhotoSynthesis can take your passport photo and have it ready for you in about 10 minutes!
